What patients say on Google

“I have a credit on my account and they will not refund my money. They keep saying 6-10 weeks to process the refund each time I call, with the last call being 10 weeks ago. They also say they have no record of the last call...very troubling and not a company that seems honest and straight forward.”
Paul Flaherty
“Just had my first on site visit with Kiley Hache and couldn't be more pleased. He's very knowledgeable, patient, understanding and professional.i look forward to my next appointment.”
John “HappyJack” Stanton
“Lifestance is owned by private equity firms. During my two visits I disclosed repeatedly — at least half a dozen times — that I did not want to work with a PE-owned provider. Not once did anyone acknowledge this or suggest we might not be a good fit. That alone should tell you something about how this organization operates. For context: Lifestance has an outstanding class action suit for allegedly installing spyware to sell patient data to Facebook and Google. They have paid tens of millions in lawsuit settlements. Hindenburg Research — a firm that shorts overvalued stocks — published a report alleging their business model risks becoming a "pill mill" because clinicians are given salary advances and find themselves in debt to the company, creating a financial incentive to prescribe rather than treat. Clinicians have also filed class action suits against Lifestance themselves. My first appointment was with NP Taj. I had a documented, successful four-year treatment plan from a highly experienced psychiatrist. Taj dismissed it entirely, proposed a completely different regimen, was aggressive and dogmatic, and made clear my opinion was irrelevant. My recommendation: find a different career. You are not a people person and you should not be practicing. My second appointment was with Dr. Albert — or so I thought. She was 10 minutes late and didn't appear. Instead I met with a rotating resident who talked over me and struggled with basic psychiatric concepts. After an hour she disappeared for 30 minutes to consult with Dr. Albert. An hour and a half in, Dr. Albert joined. We developed a plan — then she paused and said, verbatim: "my gut is telling me this isn't going to work." She terminated care on the spot, knowing I was about to run out of a medication you cannot abruptly stop taking. Her solution: "go to an ER." This constitutes patient abandonment and fails any reasonable standard of continuity of care. I immediately requested the recording of the session — I had been required to consent to recording upon entering the Zoom. Dr. Albert responded that they don't record Zoom meetings. So which is it? Dr. Albert: you have the clinical knowledge but none of the qualitative skills the job requires. In three visits across three clinicians, not one encouraging word was offered. Just hostility, apathy, and an expectation of unconditional compliance. Also, JA, you don't know what "ambivalence" means, FYI.”

“Kaj is incredible! After just my first session, I feel like I have finally met someone who listens and understands me. I am so excited to have found a great fit finally.”
